Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 27 September 2026

Scope of the Policy and the Services Covered

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all payments made to famewerly for services provided through our entertainment coverage platform. The services include spotlight interviews, event planning, camera coordination, lighting arrangements, and responsible show reporting. These offerings are available to clients based in the United Kingdom and are subject to the terms outlined here. The policy covers both one-off bookings and any recurring arrangements where applicable. It does not extend to third-party services or products that may be recommended during the course of our work but are not directly supplied by famewerly.

Clients should read this policy carefully before making any payment. By proceeding with a booking or payment, you acknowledge that you have understood and accepted these terms. The policy is designed to comply with UK consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Additional Charges

All prices displayed on our platform are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) unless otherwise stated. Prices are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate where applicable. Any additional charges, such as travel expenses for on-site event coverage, equipment hire, or overtime fees for extended reporting sessions, will be clearly itemised before payment is requested. famewerly reserves the right to adjust prices for future bookings to reflect changes in costs, but confirmed bookings will be honoured at the agreed rate.

Taxes are calculated based on the location of the service delivery within the United Kingdom. No hidden fees are applied, and all potential extras are disclosed during the quotation process. Clients are responsible for any bank charges or currency conversion fees if paying from outside the UK.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation, and Security

We accept payments via major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and other secure online gateways commonly used in the United Kingdom. Payment authorisation occurs at the time of booking, with funds held until the service is confirmed or completed. All transactions are processed through secure, encrypted systems to protect your financial details in line with UK GDPR and Payment Card Industry standards.

famewerly does not store full card details on its systems. Authorisation may involve a pre-authorisation hold, which is released once the transaction is finalised. In the event of suspected fraud, payments may be declined, and further verification requested.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

A contract is formed when you receive written confirmation from famewerly following your booking request and payment. This confirmation will detail the services, dates, location, and total cost. Until this confirmation is issued, no binding agreement exists, and any payment made may be subject to refund if the booking cannot be accepted.

Confirmation emails serve as proof of contract. Clients should retain these records. For services requiring advance preparation, such as event planning or lighting coordination, the contract becomes binding upon confirmation even if the event date is in the future.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under UK law, consumers have the right to cancel most distance contracts within 14 days without giving a reason. For our services, this cooling-off period applies from the date of contract formation. However, if services have begun with your express consent before the end of this period, you may lose the right to cancel once the service has been substantially performed.

Cancellations must be notified in writing. For events planned closer than 14 days to the service date, different terms may apply based on the specific booking agreement. Professional service bookings often have shorter cancellation windows due to resource allocation.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available where cancellation occurs within the permitted period or where famewerly fails to deliver the agreed services. Exclusions include cancellations made after work has commenced on bespoke elements such as custom interview scripting or specialised lighting setups. Deposits for high-value event planning may be non-refundable if significant resources have already been committed.

Services already delivered, including completed show reporting or on-site coverage, are generally non-refundable. Promotional offers or discounted packages may carry additional restrictions detailed at the time of booking.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact famewerly in writing via the contact form on our Contacts page or by emailing [email protected]. Provide your booking reference, date of service, reason for the request, and any supporting evidence. Requests should be submitted as soon as possible after the issue arises.

Include your full name, address as registered with the booking, and preferred refund method. Incomplete requests may delay processing. We aim to acknowledge receipt within five working days.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification

Upon receiving a refund request, famewerly will review the details against the booking records and policy terms. This inspection may involve checking service logs, correspondence, and any third-party confirmations. You will be notified of the decision in writing, typically within 14 days of receipt of a complete request.

If approved, the refund will proceed as outlined below. If rejected, reasons will be provided, and you may appeal by supplying further information. All decisions aim to be fair and transparent in accordance with UK consumer rights.

Refund Method, Processing Time, and Receipt of Funds

Approved refunds are issued using the original payment method where possible. Processing typically takes between five and ten working days, though bank transfer times may vary. You should receive funds within 30 days of approval at the latest.

For card payments, the refund appears on your statement within one or two billing cycles. If a different method is required, such as bank transfer, you must provide the necessary details securely. famewerly is not responsible for delays caused by your financial institution.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, and Promotional Offers

Our platform may involve digital elements such as recorded interviews or digital reports. Once digital content is downloaded or accessed, refunds are generally not available unless there is a technical fault attributable to us. Subscriptions, if offered, follow the same cancellation rules but may require notice periods for termination.

Promotional offers are subject to their own terms, which are provided at purchase. Refunds for promotional services are limited to the amount actually paid, excluding any value attributed to the promotion itself.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Suspected Fraud

In cases of failed payments, we will notify you and attempt to resolve the issue. Duplicate charges will be investigated and refunded promptly upon confirmation. Chargebacks are treated seriously; unjustified ones may result in service suspension.

Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate account review and possible reporting to authorities. Clients are encouraged to monitor their statements and report anomalies quickly.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK law, including the right to receive services of satisfactory quality and the protections afforded by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may seek advice from Citizens Advice or pursue remedies through the courts. famewerly is committed to resolving disputes amicably where possible.
